The parish of Rous Lench & Radford is situated in the heart of Worcestershire, around 6 miles North of Evesham. A comprehensive description of the parish can be found in the soon to be published 2003 Parish Design Statement, but here is a pictorial summary...

Rous Lench is concentrated around the village green, although extends in three directions along the roads to Radford to the North, Bishampton to the West, and Church Lench to the South.
The word "Lench" is believed to mean "wooded hill", and these enhance the landscape adding variety in colour through the seasons. Rous Lench Court lies across the park from the church, and enjoys views to the Licky Hills to the North, and the Malverns to the West.
Radford lies one mile to the North of Rous Lench, and largely follows the old Worcester to Stratford coach road. The name Radford comes from "Red Ford" referring to the red marl coloured water in the brook running through the village. |
Radford has several half-timbered "black & white" cottages, some thatched, an old watermill, a public house, and a wonderfully distinctive postbox similar to the one found by the green in Rous Lench. |
